Forward by her husband….

“LIFE UNEDITED”

Jacquie and I were discussing her web site and FREE poetry book PDF (LIFE UNEDITED).   We were trying to figure out the best way to get them to people who will appreciate the read and the spirit contained within.

“You need a forward, you know, a brief history of your background so people can get a closer feel for your writing” I said.

“Well who knows you better than I do?  It will be our 48th anniversary this year (2019)” I said.

So here goes, 48 years in the next few paragraphs….

We met at work, and as the old saying goes, it was love at first sight (at least for me, she needed a little coaxing).  That was in 1971.  We have 2 boys and a girl.  Our first son and daughter are grown now.  Our second son was taken to be with the Lord in a terrible car accident.  He did not survive, being crushed in the womb just 2 weeks before his birth.  This devastated us as you can imagine, but Jacquie’s faith pulled us both through this very dark time.  You know, the way you would pull a stuck 4 x 4 out of the mud with another 4 x 4 that is on firmer ground and steadfast in its strength and direction.  This is a funny analogy but as an outdoorsman the picture it paints is very clear.  She was my rescue 4 x 4.

It was her faith that later in life made me realize it was time for me to get off the fence I was sitting on.  Her belief and devotion to her God showed me I needed this faith as well.  I was always afraid I would be missing out on something if I gave my life to the Lord.  Little did I realize it was just the opposite.  It was like walking into a familiar darkened room and not realizing that by turning on the light, now I could see what I had never seen before.

Jacquie is not a saint, even though I think she is.  She has struggled with bi-polar disorder, you know, with mood swings from deep depression to euphoria.  As well as struggling with many other health problems.  I say this only to show how the Lord has carried her many times when her own strength would not.

He has blessed her with His words and through thick and thin, night and day, year after year, He is by her side.

She is a published author, a featured speaker to thousands of women in Christian groups and ministries.  She is and accomplished pianist and writer, having written numerous spiritual songs and even produced and director her own musical stage production.  She was a soloist at weddings and churches, until illness took away her voice.  Now I say this not to boast in her favor but to give God all the glory for the gifts she was blessed with.  She would not ever brag about her talents.

This collection of writings and videos are her prayers of thanks, her times of correction, her depths of depression, her mountain top experiences, God’s direction and her unceasing love and devotion to her Lord and Savior.  Her poems are a gift to you, and her reward is the blessing they may hold.  I pray they will bless you.

My Love forever Jacqueline

Raymond
